Our Philantrophy: Building strong girls.
Moonball |
Beta Omega started a new tradition in Fall of 2016. We are so excited to have changed things up this year and for our first Moonball event to be so successful. NAU students put together teams to compete in minute to win it challenges as well as a dodgeball tournament. But wait, theres a catch… You must attend in a creative costume!

We had teams dress up like The Sandlot, Superheros and many others. They competed in many corky minute to win it games and an instense game of Dodgeball. This is a crowd favorite because it is a lot of fun for the participants as well and gives everyone a good laugh. The winner wins a trophy and money that goes toward their philanthory. This past year we had a snackbar and a DJ for their enjoyment. All the proceeds we make from our philanthropy event goes to Girls on the Run.
Girls On the Run
Girls on the Run, Gamma Phi Beta's newest philanthropy, is a very exciting one. At a convention in 2012, the sorority adopted it as one of our focus groups for community service. This organization was chosen because of how closely it reflects Gamma Phi's want to "provide experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental and social resiliency in girls".
Our sisters had so much fun this last year supporting the local Girls on the Run group. This philanthropy works with girls in the community to help them with self confidence, body image, and other important values by helping them train for running races. Our girls help them train, and when it came down to race day, Gamma Phi's were cheering them on the entire way! This organization is a huge part of who we are as a sisterhood, and we love helping to build strong girls. |
